WHY VOLUNTEER?

1. Strengthen your community

Volunteering gives you the opportunity for satisfaction of contributing and getting involved in your community. There’s nothing more fulfilling than realizing how much of an impact you have made on an event or project that you have participated in.

2. Volunteering connects people

When like-minded people get together, friendships are formed. After working together with others in your community on a project, it’s easy to develop lifelong friendships with others in your neighborhood. You can also develop professional relationships, network and develop great references.

3. Gain opportunities and experience

Volunteering can not only be energizing & renewing, it can also provide a safe environment to learn new skills, retain and sharpen old skills, and to learn group dynamics and teamwork. Volunteers often discover their own hidden talents, learn about the functions and operations of non-profit organizations, our local government and gain knowledge of local resources available to solve community needs.

Committee Volunteers

Committee Volunteers participate in one-off events or contribute to committee work without taking on the extra time commitment or responsibility of directors. Committee volunteers are very important and necessary for our community events and programs. Your assistance is very much appreciated. Thank you.
