The Parkhill Community Association (PCA) is very excited to announce a Community Garden, secured with generous support from the Federation of Calgary Communities and Calgary Foundation, Youth Central and the City of Calgary’s Inspiring Neighbourhood Program. This garden, will be located south of the Community Hall, and has the full support of the PCA Board, City Parks, our City Councillor, as well as the Parkhill community. It has been designed after consultations with our community members and several other community gardens located across the city.
We need your help because we need volunteers! With your help, we hope to plan sourcing discussions the first week of May, walk through final site designs on May 24th and, with the support of Youth Central volunteers, start building garden boxes on June 1st.
Yes, you read that right! Boxes will be available for rent as of June 1st, 2025 PCA members (paid resident or paid non-resident) and volunteers will receive priority access to a 4ft x 10ft garden box (rental fee of $40 per year). Due to HIGH demand, Summer 2025 SOLD OUT on May 2nd.
