Those of you who knew our neighbour Alan Dunsmore, would agree that he was simply a kind and joyful soul. He could be found on most sunny days outside his home on 2nd street, tending to the yard and flowers or manicuring his award-winning lawn. Few winters went by when he didn’t only shovel his front sidewalk, but the other neighbour’s nearby as well! You could not get past him without a friendly chat and a chuckle. His ability to effortlessly shed humour would inevitably lighten up your day.
Loved by children and animals alike, he will be fondly remembered by Earl (the cat) for all the treats that Alan secretly fed him over the fence…
Most importantly, he will be missed by his wife Judy, who many of us also know and love. Both long time members of the Parkhill Community, they immersed themselves into numerous social and special events by tirelessly volunteering their efforts. One of Alan’s favorites was the annual Parkhill Family Stampede Breakfast where he couldn’t be missed in his cowboy chaps, white hat and of course that big smile.
On behalf of Alan’s friends and neighbours in Parkhill, our deepest condolences to Judy and her extended family for the loss of a loving husband and father. May the beautiful memories of Alan’s warm laughter and charm bring comfort to you during this difficult time.
Our prayers are with you as you celebrate a life well lived.
