The City of Calgary Wants to Hear from You!
The City is currently reviewing how it engages with the public and interested parties – and wants to hear about your experiences. The City has engaged an independent firm, KPMG, to conduct a review of its engagement practices. Have your say through one of the opportunities below!
- Focus Group Sessions
As part of this review, we’re inviting representatives from community associations to take part in one of three focus groups to share your experiences, offer feedback and help shape how The City connects with people in meaningful, respectful, and transparent ways when a decision needs to be made. Focus groups will be held at the following times:
- July 8, 12:00pm – 1:30pm
- July 15, 5:00pm – 6:30pm
- July 29, 5:00pm – 6:30pm

- Public Survey
Share your perspectives and experience on the City’s engagement practices through our public survey. The survey is not being run by The City; KPMG, an independent firm is collecting responses. Your answers will be grouped together with other people’s answers and shared with The City in summary. The survey should take 5-10 minutes. The survey can be accessed through The City’s Engage Portal, or through this link: https://engage.getneighbor.com/calgary.
- Call for Expressions of Interest: Engagement Review Working Group
KPMG is also inviting interested individuals to express their interest in being a part of an Engagement Review Working Group. This group will bring together different perspectives to share advice and feedback on how the City can do a great job of hearing from Calgarians.
Selected members will be expected to:
- Have an interest in good engagement in Calgary;
- Participate in 4-5 one-hour working group discussions from July to September 2025.
- Share ideas constructively and engage actively.
No special credentials are required; we welcome varied experiences from all Calgarians.
